  • Require environmental impact assessments for all new developments over 5 acres
  • Protect and restore riparian buffers along all local waterways
  • Partner with conservation land trusts to permanently protect key parcels
  • Oppose industrial development in flood plains and sensitive habitat zones

Investing in Rural Roads, Bridges, and Utilities

Rural residents pay taxes just like everyone else. We deserve the same investment in our roads, bridges, and essential services.

  • Commission a full audit of rural road and bridge conditions within the first 90 days
  • Prioritize repair of the 12 bridges rated structurally deficient in the last state report
  • Expand broadband internet access to underserved rural areas
  • Upgrade aging water and sewer infrastructure in rural districts
  • Create a dedicated rural infrastructure line item in the annual capital budget

Community Trust

Transparent, Accountable Local Government

Trust is earned through action, not promises. I will govern with radical transparency and genuine accountability to every resident.

  • Hold quarterly open town halls in every district — not just the city center
  • Publish plain-language budget summaries within 30 days of each council vote
  • Create a public dashboard tracking all campaign promises and their status
  • Require conflict-of-interest disclosures for all council votes
  • Establish a citizen advisory board with real input on major development decisions

Fiscal Responsibility

Smart Spending, Real Value for Every Tax Dollar

Every dollar in the city budget is a dollar earned by a neighbor. I will treat it that way — with discipline, transparency, and a clear eye on outcomes.

  • Conduct a line-by-line audit of city contracts in the first term
  • Eliminate redundant administrative positions through attrition, not layoffs
  • Require competitive bidding on all contracts over $25,000
  • Oppose tax increases until existing revenue is demonstrably well-managed
  • Publish an annual 'value report' showing what each department delivered per dollar spent
